Headquartered at Coley Homestead, the Weston Historical
Society was originally constructed in 1841 and is an interesting, almost four
acre complex. The first major program was the acquiring and remodeling an early
working farm barn to house the gifts and acquisitions given to the Society.
Today this valued collection of early farm tools, furnishings, papers and
clothing depict how the early residents lived. Open House at the museum
frequently includes demonstrations of craft work such as weaving, spinning, and
caning of chairs. The house has been restored and decorated to resemble an
1850’s farmhouse.
